Curtiss Racer - Testors 1/48 Scale
One in a series of "Golden Age" aviation models by Testors and Hawk.
Easy to build and very colorful. Rigging is piano wire and the decals are from
Guatemala, because there were no US decals that fit on hand.
This is one of my first airbrush models. The tail colors are paint, not a decal.
Looking for a good test subject to check the photo setup, this colorful little gem came to mind.
Recently, all my lenses and cameras were calibrated for focus and a photographer friend showed me the
correct way to expose RAW images for processing.
The camera is a Pentax K-1 with a Pentax 55mm macro lens. Exposure at ISO 100 usually f20.
RAW processing is done in Photoshop with an XRite camera profile and a WhiBal white balance card.
The model got a little touchup and wire fix, along with a good dusting.
